- Ben was fantastic. He's a bit more expensive than a typical home inspector (especially if you add all of the bells and whistles like the thermal imaging), but he is WORTH EVERY PENNY. I highly recommend you hire Ben, and I highly recommend you capitalize on the extra services he offers, especially if you are dealing with an older or more questionable home. Ben performed our home inspection. The detail was tremendous. Plus, he breaks all of his findings down, so that you know which ones are safety risks, which ones are likely to be easy/cheap fixes, which ones are likely to cost a fortune, which ones just require monitoring into the future. His report is lengthy, but he makes it digestible with his amazing coding and interpretation. Amazingly, he gets all of this done in >2 days as well! - I am in the process of purchasing my thirteenth, yes thirteenth home in 28 years, three of which I sub-contracted myself. I have worked with several home inspectors, but PANDACON was by far the most experienced and professional that I have had the privilege of working with. The professional that I worked with was well-versed on local building codes as well as common sense issues. The home inspected had been previously inspected by another company and given the green light. The home was far from a green light. Pandacon found at least twenty issues that the other company missed and, at least ten of them were what I deemed serious ones. Ultimately, I will NOT be purchasing this home. - We hired Ben at Pandacon to inspect a new home we are purchasing. The detail and depth of his knowledge regarding virtually every aspect of the home made us know we picked the right inspector. If you need your home inspected you can stop looking online right now and just call Pandacon. After our inspection I still had questions and Ben made himself available to me regardless of the time and was very patient, courteous and thorough in his explanations. The billing and contract process was also very simple, and the price was average compared to most others, but what I got in return was anything but average - it was superb! The best advice I can give anyone is not to try and scrimp and save on the "cheapest" inspector. They could miss something that will cost you dearly later. You want someone like Ben who is going to scrutinize the property and dig up all its dirty secrets. Pay Pandacon's fair rate and you get a much much more than fair inspection, you get an awesome one.
